Platform Attribution. The term “Etsy” is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. This application uses the Etsy API but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy, Inc. Studio Scale uses the Pinterest API but is not endorsed or certified by Pinterest. Studio Scale uses the Meta/Instagram Graph API but is not endorsed or certified by Meta Platforms, Inc.

1. Who We Are

Studio Scale, Inc. (“Studio Scale,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates studioscale.com. Privacy questions and data requests: privacy@studioscale.com.

2. Information We Collect and How We Use It

2.1 Account and Billing Data

We collect your name, email address, and password when you register. Payment information is processed by our payment processor; we do not store card numbers.

2.2 Etsy Data

When you connect your Etsy store, we access listing data (titles, descriptions, tags, images, prices, and categories) and shop identity via the Etsy API, using OAuth scopes limited to listings and shop information. We store this listing data in your private workspace solely to generate marketing content and suggest listing improvements for you, and we refresh it from the Etsy API at least every 6 hours so that displayed Etsy listing content and images are never more than 6 hours out of date (and other Etsy content never more than 24 hours out of date). All social content we publish links back directly to your product listings on Etsy.com. Your individual Etsy data is never shared with or shown to other sellers. The only cross-account processing we perform is the computation of k-anonymized, aggregated category benchmarks with enforced minimum group sizes, which cannot be traced back to any individual shop or listing.

2.3 Pinterest Data

When you connect your Pinterest account, we access your account identity, board names and IDs, and pin metadata via the Pinterest API, solely to create boards, schedule pins, and report analytics to you. Except for campaign analytics attributed to your account, we do not persistently store Pinterest API data; we call the API fresh each time information is needed. We do not combine your Pinterest data with data from other users' accounts or join it with personal information from any other source. We do not use Pinterest data to target advertising on any platform outside of Pinterest. We do not sell Pinterest data, including as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Pinterest data is not retained or used beyond the direct business relationship between you and Studio Scale.

2.4 Meta — Instagram and Facebook Data

When you connect your Instagram Business or Facebook Page account, we access your account identity and publishing permissions via the Meta Graph API, solely to schedule and publish posts and report analytics to you. We implement Meta's data deletion callback: when you remove Studio Scale from your Meta account settings, we automatically and immediately delete all stored Meta data associated with your account. We delete Meta user data without undue delay when you disconnect your account, when you delete your Studio Scale account, when the data is no longer necessary to provide the service, or when Meta requests deletion. We do not sell Meta user data.

2.5 Usage Data

We automatically collect standard usage data (pages visited, features used, session duration, IP address, and browser type) to operate and improve the service.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or any platform data to third parties, including advertising networks or data brokers.

We share data with service providers who assist us in operating Studio Scale under contracts that restrict them to using your data only for that purpose. We share only the minimum data required for each provider to perform its function.

Content you approve for publication is transmitted to the relevant platform APIs (Pinterest, Meta) and published to your connected accounts. This is the core function of the service and is authorized by you.

We may disclose your information if required by law or court order.

4. Consent and Control Over Publishing

Studio Scale does not publish any content to your connected accounts without your authorization. You may pause, edit, or cancel any scheduled post at any time from the Studio Scale dashboard.

For Pinterest: each pin published through Studio Scale is authorized by you as part of the content approval flow. Studio Scale does not pin content outside of your approved schedule.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, personal data and listing content are deleted within 30 days, and all platform OAuth tokens are deleted immediately.

You may request deletion of your data at any time by deleting your account or contacting privacy@studioscale.com. Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by law.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. OAuth access tokens for all connected platforms are encrypted at rest using AES-256. No tokens are exposed client-side or in application logs.

In the event of a data breach implicating platform data, we will notify the affected platform as soon as reasonably practicable — and within 2 business days where required by applicable law or platform terms — and will immediately begin remediation. We will notify affected users in accordance with applicable law. To report a security vulnerability, contact security@studioscale.com.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies only for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or analytics cookies that identify individual users.

8. Your Rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time via your account settings or by contacting privacy@studioscale.com. You may disconnect any connected platform account at any time from Studio Scale's account settings or directly from that platform's own settings.

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

Studio Scale does not sell personal information, including Etsy data, Pinterest data, Meta data, or any other connected-platform data, as those terms are defined under CCPA. Pinterest specifically: Pinterest does not receive monetary or other consideration for personal information accessed through the Pinterest API. Studio Scale will not sell that personal information, will not retain or use it for any purpose other than providing the Studio Scale service, and will not retain or use it outside the direct business relationship between Studio Scale and you. To exercise your CCPA rights, contact privacy@studioscale.com.

EEA and UK Residents (GDPR/UK GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Our legal basis for processing your data is contract performance. Contact privacy@studioscale.com or your local Data Protection Authority.

9. Children's Privacy

Studio Scale is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been collected, we will delete it promptly. Contact privacy@studioscale.com if you believe a child has provided us with personal information.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. For significant changes, we will notify you via email or in-app notification before the changes take effect. Continued use of Studio Scale after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
